For years, our firm has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to local individuals and businesses. Our expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as audits, financial statements, and financial planning.

This requires open communication to reach an understanding of our clients’ needs, thorough research, and sound analysis. Our firm is dedicated to meeting these goals with high standards of excellence and professionalism.
Our Team
Steve Hulet, CPA, received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, Colorado, in December 1973. He began his career with a local private practice in Littleton, Colorado, in January 1974 with emphasis in small business taxes and accounting services. In 1977, he became a partner in the Boulder firm of Russell, Guile, Wickham & Hulet. In 1981, he formed the current firm now named Hulet & Associates, PC He is a licensed CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of CPAs.
Away from the office, Steve spends time with his wife Ann and their three daughters. Steve is an avid outdoorsman who water skis, fishes, hunts, and spends time with the family camping and riding their ATVs.

Jayla Zancanella joined Hulet & Associates, PC in 2007. She has provided a broad range of tax services to many closely-held businesses and individuals. She also has experience serving the tax needs of U.S. citizens working abroad and foreign nationals residing in the U.S.
Jayla received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. She earned her CPA certificate in 1999 and is a licensed CPA in both Colorado and Oregon. Jayla is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of CPAs.
Outside the office, Jayla enjoys hiking, as well spending time with her husband and two children.
Mihaela (Mikki) Obreja graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania, with a BS in Business Administration (Accounting and Information Systems). She received her MBA (Accounting) from Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Hulet & Associates, PC in January 2008, she held various accounting positions in several private companies and not-for-profit organizations, as well as in public accounting firms. Mikki is currently working on obtaining her CPA license.
Mikki resides in Louisville, Colorado, with her husband Julian and their cat Buster. Some of the places you might find her when she is not working are: outdoors enjoying a great shot of espresso at a hip cafe, exploring Colorado’s beautiful mountains, playing tennis, or at home watching movies, reading or gardening. She also enjoys painting and drawing and is fascinated with the works of Van Gogh and Vermeer.
